Presently, ISTC is offering following skill based diplma courses on regular basis:

These courses are duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Admission to these courses will be offered on the basis of merit position of “ISTC Entrance Test-2019”.


The above courses consist of one year of common training followed by another two years of specialisation in respective disciplines. Advanced diploma courses consist of further one year advanced training on specilised machines/equipments as per need of industry. The medium of instruction is English.

3.1 FIRST YEAR COMMON TRAINING PROGRAM: Based on the merit in ISTC Entrance Exam, the candidate will opt for the desired course. Training during first year will be common for above courses. After the common training in first year, the candidate will pursue specialized course as per their exercised option at the time of admission in the area of mechanical or electronics.

3.2 DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (Tool & Die): This three year (six semesters) course was started in 2013 based upon the new facilities created during ISTC modernization plan. There are 55 seats for this course. This course consists of three year of training in the area of mechanical engineering (tool & die). On successful completion of the training, the trainees will be awarded “Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Tool & Die)”.

3.3 DIPLOMA IN ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING: This three year (six semesters) course was started in 2013 based upon the new facilities created during ISTC modernization plan. There are 55 seats for this course. This course consists of three year of training in the area of electronics engineering. On successful completion of the training, the trainees will be awarded “Diploma in Electronics Engineering”.

3.4 ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN DIE & MOULD MAKING: This course started in 1977 with the collaboration of Government of Switzerland is of four years (eight semesters) duration. There are 15 seats for this course. This course consists of three year of common training of mechanical engineering (tool & die) followed by one year of specialisation in die and mould making. On successful completion of the training, the trainees are awarded “Advanced Diploma in Die & Mould Making”.

3.5 ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN MECHATRONICS & INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION: This course started in 1996 is of four years (eight semesters) duration. There are 15 seats for this course. This course consists of three year of common training of electronics engineering followed by one year of specialisation in mechatronics & industrial automation. On successful completion of the training, the trainees are awarded “Advanced Diploma in Mechatronics & Industrial Automation”.
